It’s a new year, yet somehow, it still feels like an extension of 2024. Perhaps we can call this the 13th month of 2024 and hope for the best come February. For those of you who could leave your 2024 stresses in the past and step into this new year refreshed and ready, we commend you. But for those of you who are still proverbially hungover from 2024 – we get it.
We put so much pressure on ourselves to “reset” for the new year, from resolutions to diets to organizing our lives. So, this year, we suggest being gentle with yourself and transitioning into 2025 at your own pace (items coming later this year to help in that department ;).
We would be remiss not to acknowledge the devastation from coast to coast that has occurred over the last few months, from the hurricane that destroyed parts of the Southeast, including the community of our founder, Tanya Dalton, to the wildfires that have razed Los Angeles, affecting us here at Inkwell HQ.
We are being forced (whether we like it or not) to reevaluate, rethink, and rebuild. We can’t get to a better, brighter future by repeating the same patterns and behaviors from the past. Inkwell Press just celebrated our 10th anniversary in the fall of 2024. It’s a tremendous milestone for which we are very proud – and we know we couldn’t have gotten here without you, our loyal customers.
But what’s next? That’s the question we are asking ourselves at the end of this first month of 2025. Inkwell is committed to being here for the long haul, but we want to make sure we’re giving our customers what they need – AND want. For this reason, we’ve created a survey as part of the January blog. It’s not a long survey, but we tried to touch on all the elements of Inkwell Press that would be important to you – from product features to blog content.
As we recalibrate for 2025 and await your feedback, we will push pause on the “From Our Quill” blog for the next couple of months but will be back with 2025-26 Academic Year updates soon.
