We believe in the power of community and giving back. That's why we're proud to announce our donation to a fire department near Asheville, North Carolina, to assist with post-hurricane recovery efforts.
Why This Fire Department?
We chose the Fairview Fire Department for a special reason. Tanya Dalton, the founder of InkWELL Press, whose Asheville neighborhood was devastated by Hurricane Helene, said that this department is spearheading the recovery efforts in the area and even helped set up the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) station at her children's former elementary school.
"The Fairview Volunteer Fire Department is truly a lifeline for the community, tirelessly responding to emergencies day and night, often with limited resources and little rest," wrote Sarah Koehler, who created the fundraiser for Fairview. "They reach places others can't, and their dedication knows no bounds."
