Which Planner is Right for You?

Which Planner is Right for You?

Shopping for a new planner is an annual tradition! One reason people love inkWELL Press (besides our highly coveted, super-thick 140 gsm paper), is that they can customize their entire planner: the cover design, disc color, and of course, the inserts.

Our premium planning inserts, each pre-punched for a 9-disc configuration, come in five different layouts that can be customized and rearranged to meet your needs. The question is, which one is best for you?

Let’s break down the basics of each layout.

Classic Weekly

The Classic Weekly offers a vertical weekly view. This style is ideal for people who like to plan their days by priority. Instead of planning from morning until night, our vertical layouts start with an Escalate section for urgent to-dos, then a Cultivate section for less urgent items, and finally an Accommodate section for important tasks without a looming deadline.

Classic pages offer a narrow planning column for each day (weekends get equal space!), so this layout is best for short task names. If you use clear, concise notes, Classic is the insert for you!

There’s room for your daily top 3, weekly focus, and extra notes space in each two-page weekly spread. At 199 pages, the Classic insert creates the full-size planner experience when all the pages are used. It offers monthly views for all 12 months and all the extra planning pages that we’re known for (link to Feature Chart graphic when complete). Classic Weekly is perfect for first time planners who aren’t sure how much (or how little) they will plan each day.

Flex Weekly

The Flex Weekly offers a horizontal view and does not include the Escalate, Cultivate, and Accommodate sections that the Classic view does. Each day includes long lined sections that look like index cards, and unlined color-coded blocks for the daily top 3.

The Flex layouts are ideal for note-takers who plan in sentences because there’s so much clean writing space! They like to plan one day at a time and add notes as they go.

There’s room for weekly focus and extra notes space in each two-page weekly spread. At 199 pages, the Flex insert creates the full-size planner experience when all the pages are used. It offers monthly views for all 12 months and all the extra planning pages that we’re known for (link to Feature Chart graphic when complete).

Flex is popular with writers and memory-keepers because of the openness. If you edit your plans throughout the day or have used traditional bound planners or journals in the past, Flex is for you.
